She was excited to join the Lucy Brock teaching team in exploring children’s learning and development through the Reggio Emilia Approach. Jessica received a BS in History, Secondary Education from Appalachian State University in 2008. After briefly teaching at the middle and high school level, she discovered an interest in working with young children, and began to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. In 2014, Jessica received a M.Ed. in Birth-Kindergarten Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development from UNC Greensboro. She is passionate about providing and advocating for high quality early experiences for all children. Jessica is also a part of the Lucy Brock parent family as her daughter, Makayla, attends in one of the infant-toddler classrooms.
